Securing Mayor's Permit - Makati Cty

Makati City is the Philippines central business district. Most businesses and establishments are locating here. Before a corporation can validly start its business operations, it is required to secure a business permit. Hereunder are the relevant requirements:
  • Barangay clearance;
  • Locational Clearance Prior to Business Permit.
  • Lease Contract between the Lessor and the Lessee.
  • Mayor's Permit registration of the building owner/landlord as a Real Estate Lessor, if leased. If not, Lease Contract between the Lessee and the Sub-Lessee with conformity of the Owner of the Building Administration. If owned, transfer Certificate of Title (TCT) or Tax Declaration (xerox copy).
  • Articles of Incorporation or Partnership approved by S.E.C.
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Residence Certificate
  • Other Documents That May Be Required, such as the following:.
    1. National Food Authority (NFA) License in case of Dealer of Rice/Corn and Wheat.
    2. Bureau of Food and Drug Administration (BFAD) in case of Drugstores/Bakery.
    3. Accreditation Certificate issued by the DTI in case of Auto Repair Shop, Electronics, Radio and other Electrical Equipments.
    4. Custom Broker's License issued by the Custom Broker's Commission in case of Custom Brokerage Business.
    5. Real Estate Broker's License issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in case of Real Estate Broker.
    6. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in case of Local Manpower/Recruitment Agency.
    7. Philippine Overseas and Employment Agency (POEA) in case of Manning and Crewing Services.
    8. Central Bank Authority in case of Banking Institution.
    9. Pest Control License issued by Fertilizers and Insecticide in case of Pest Control Services.
    10. Videogram Permit issued by the Videogram Regulatory Board in case of Video Rental Services.
    11. Occupancy Permit and Ownership in case of Real Estate Lessor.
    12. Future Commodity Merchant/Broker's License issued by the Securities & Exchange Commission. For those engaged in the sale of commodities for future transactions as merchant/broker.
    13. PCSUCIA (National License) for those operating Security Agencies.
    14. Department of Environmental and natural Resources (DENR) clearance in case of Mining.
    15. LTFRB in case of Rent-A-Car and Transportation Services.
    16. License to Operate-Firearms & Explosive Units ( Camp Crame ).
    17. Department of Transportation & Communication (DOTC) in case of Messengerial and Courier Services.
    18. Energy Regulatory Board (ERB) in case of dealer of LPG.
    19. National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) in case of Telecommunications.
    20. Philippine Shippers' Bureau in case of Forwarder, and
    21. Other depending on the the nature of the business.
Processing time may take about one to two weeks.
